The Rocks Wedding Venue
The Rocks is a historic gem in New Hampshire’s North Country. It offers a scenic Christmas tree farm, Olmsted-designed formal gardens, a stone amphitheater overlooking the White Mountains, a restored 1884 Carriage Barn heated by green energy, a three-bedroom bridal cottage, and panoramic mountain views across the 1,400-acre property. Owned by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, The Rocks is part of our nonprofit organization’s mission to perpetuate the forests of New Hampshire.

ONE WEDDING PER WEEKEND
Your party will have access to The Rocks Friday through Sunday.
BRIDAL COTTAGE INCLUDED
Keep it simple and enjoy a two-night stay in our historic three-bedroom Gardener’s Cottage.
INDOOR AND OUTDOOR EVENT SPACES
You can choose from several indoor and outdoor options for your wedding events. Four indoor bathrooms (two accessible) are available for all weddings.
Many weddings take advantage of our outdoor event space, with ceremony options including a stone amphitheater, two grassy scenic outlooks, and a tiered formal garden designed by the Olmsted Company, all with sweeping mountain views. At the top of the Amphitheater is a large flat lawn with electric and water hookups perfect for a tent, and with the same views. Just across Christmas Lane is the historic three-bedroom, two-bath Gardener’s Cottage, sleeping up to 8 and included in our wedding package as bridal accommodations.
The newly restored Carriage Barn can accommodate up to 120 seated or 197 standing. The reception gallery can accommodate up to 100 seated and 174 standing for indoor weddings and other events. There are five indoor restrooms; two have been designed with accessibility in mind.
Whether you choose an indoor or outdoor event (or a combination), we host only one wedding per weekend, so full-weekend weddings have access from Friday through Sunday.
THE ROCKS 2025 WEDDING RATES
WEEKEND WEDDING PACKAGE – $8,000
Includes access to The Rocks and use of grounds from noon Friday through noon Sunday, two nights in the Gardener’s Cottage, and photography permissions
ONE-DAY WEDDINGS – $5,500
Includes choice of ceremony and reception locations from 8 AM to 11 PM and photography permission
CEREMONY ONLY – $2,500
Includes choice of ceremony location for up to five hours and photography permissions
RECEPTION ONLY – $3,000
Includes choice of reception location for up to eight hours and photography permissions
